Kimberly L. Boyd is a Maryland native. Originally from Baltimore, Kim attended American University where she earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations with a concentration in International Peace and Conflict Resolution. She later obtained a Master's degree in International Relations with a concentration in Global Development Policy from Syracuse University. Kim went on to earn her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in International Law.
While at the University of Baltimore, Kim served as the President of the International Law Society for two years, was a Staff Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review, and was a member of the Black Law Student Association's Mock Trial Team. She was a Research Assistant for the Community Development Clinic and was also a Rule 19 Attorney for the Immigrant Rights Clinic where she assisted clients with asylum claims and representation in immigration court. While in law school, Kim was inducted into the Royal Graham Shannonhouse III Honor Society. Prior to joining Hearns Law Group, LLC, Kim served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Maria L. Oesterreicher in the Circuit Court for Carroll County. She is now a member of the firm's family law practice group.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys hiking, baking, spending time with her dog, Miss Mollie Ringwald, and planning her next international excursion.
